First Week Madness: Gypsy Footwear Takes Off!
The last week of February was absolute madness—the good kind! After months of anticipation, Gypsy Footwear officially launched, and the response has been nothing short of incredible.
Our Melissa and Chloe Sandals are already turning heads and racking up great reviews. And the Woolees socks? Oh, they’ve been flying off the shelves—especially in bundles! The Flip-Flop Socks became the unexpected MVP of our launch, and honestly? We get it. Cold February mornings and evenings made them an absolute must-have for staying cozy while still rocking sandals and flip-flops.
Skoolie Swarm: A Festival, A Bus, and a Whole Lot of Socks
To kick off our launch with a bang, we packed up our trusty Skoolie and hit the road for Skoolie Swarm in Melrose, Florida. This week-long festival of nomads, adventurers, and bus-life enthusiasts was the perfect place to introduce Gypsy Footwear—and let’s just say, we made an impression.
The Melissa Sandals quickly claimed the title of top seller for us, it was popular with festival-goers with their effortless mix of class and sass. But the real hit of the party? Our Flip-Flop Socks! With chilly February mornings and evenings, these foot-hugging wonders did very well—and the Blue Eyed Husky color in particular was flying out of our bins. We loved seeing our Woolees paired with every type of sandal, flip-flop, and even barefoot adventurers looking for a little extra warmth.
We also took a bunch of pre-orders for our Jessica Flip-Flops in Canvas and Denim, which had visitors buzzing with excitement. They’re set to arrive around March 25th, and we can already tell they’re going to be a huge hit.
Launching Online: Packing, Shipping, and More Madness
At the same time, we were launching our online store, which meant we weren’t just selling at the festival—we were also spending a ton of time inside the Skoolie, packing up online orders as fast as they came in. The combination of in-person and online sales kept us on our toes (literally), and soon, we were making two runs a day to the Lake Geneva, Florida Post Office—a charming little place not much bigger than our bus. Before long, the staff(the guy is more accurate) started to recognize us (and our signature Tiffany blue boxes) the moment we walked in. We’re pretty sure they’ll miss us when we leave—though we may have single-handedly kept them in business last week!
What’s Next?
With our first official launch behind us, we’re keeping the momentum going. More reviews are rolling in, more Woolees and Sandals are heading out, and the countdown is officially on for The Jessica Flip-Flops to make their grand debut. If you haven’t grabbed a pair yet, now’s the time—because once they land, they won’t stick around for long!
To everyone who’s supported us, placed an order, or just cheered us on—THANK YOU. The madness of launch week has been a wild ride, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Stay tuned, stay cozy, and stay adventurous—Gypsy Footwear is just getting started!
